Things nobody tells you about Japan

This is what I hated most about Self-Defense Force AKA Japanese Army.

Here's a local news released on Dec 3, 2014 Japan.
They found out that there's ONE rifle ammo missing after a live fire exercise yesterday (1,450 rounds shot by 50 soldiers). Of course (oh yeah?) they put everything aside and started to search for it. It must have been somewhere within the shooting range, but the search didn't go successfully at all. (Imagine losing a coin on the beach...) Then Regiment (their parent unit) came into play. They sent approximately 600 soldiers to find one rifle ammo, half-buried somewhere in their own shooting range. They searched the entire area over night against the clock.
In the early morning, another 70 soldiers were added and they happened to find it at 11:43 am today. The regiment commanding officer released a comment apologizing for disturbing local communities.

This kind of nonsense is taking place all over Japan as I write. It still annoys me today. I know it is important to keep civilians away from firearms since the gun-free policy must be respected in any situations in Japan right? However, due to this super-pacifist obsession, none of soldiers have ever and will dedicate 100% of their minds towards their exercise which is supposedly and obviously paid attention most.
This time it happened to be with a live ammunition, but definitely the same goes to a blank or even with a casing shell with no joke.
Japan's spending a huge amount of military expenditure to keep the door locked, but spending lots of time and assets as well searching for lost consumption articles like that.
This reality won't be known forever outside of Japan unless someone write out. So let me do this.

Part of me is still hoping SDF would be a normal military some day...
